Nottingham City Harriers 2018- Training for road, cross country running, fell racing

Whilst the stalwarts were jogging round Swingate, the next generation were cutting their teeth at the Worthington 5 near East Midlands Airport. Joe and Max whipped round the 1.2mile fun run in 10th and 16th positions then the old man crawled round the 5 miler. It's a real grueler - the only circular course I've run that's uphill all the way! A veritable tarmac fell race. All in 26c temperatures. A great village race starting and finishing at a real traditional Marstons pub. Worth another attempt when the temperature drops!

Training and Racing: Tuesday 30 June - Sunday 05 July 2009 Tuesday 30 June - 6:30pm Bramcote for a 10.3 mile run on the Strelley-Cossall route. How about we do it in reverse for a change? Thinking to do 4-5-6-4-5-6 min @ 10k pace/effort with half duration recoveries. Wednesday 01 July - 5:30pm Mountainous 13.7M run from Tennis Centre incorporating some of the infamous Mapperly Hills. Give me a text if you're interested, start time is flexible. Saturday 04 July - 9am Wollaton Park easy 7.5 mile run for 1 hour, meet at St. Leonard's Avenue, Wollaton - worth checking to see who's about. Sunday 05 July - 8:15am Rob and Ben will be doing the Papplewick 23M starting at 8:15am . This is the same route as the 21M but with this bit added on around Blidworth.
